Universal Application Development: An application is developed with a frontend that is customized for each platform, with backend support that is accessible universally. While these types of applications cannot access the hardware on the handsets, they can deliver content efficiently across all platforms with little adjustment. They can also be updated instantly and distributed via the internet, without involving the Applications Store.
